Product Description
LG is revolutionizing microwave cooking with the introduction of the first ever Warming Lamp*. This innovation allows you to keep entrees warm and ready to serve with the convenience of eye-level access. With LG’s OTRs, expect the ultimate in premium styling . By adding stylish controls and a hidden venting system, we’ve elevated our OTRs to a new level of sophistication. Never worry about serving cold food again with our warming lamp technology. This special feature maintains heat levels at 200℉, 170℉, 140℉ and 100℉ for a period of 90 minutes or less. The combination sliding tray and turntable moves side to side and spins ensuring food is evenly cooked. Use the sliding tray for large casserole dishes up to a 15" long and the tray & turntable for dishes smaller than 12”. Our intelligent system takes away the guess work in cooking your meals. Humidity sensing technology determines when food is fully cooked and automatically turns off the microwave. Our powerful 300 CFM (Cubic Foot Per Minute) venting system makes cooking more pleasant by reducing smoke and food odors caused by cooking.

2 out of 5 stars Okay microwave   June 23, 2010

We purchased this microwave in June 2009. We really liked the way it looked. We also enjoyed the features, with one exception. I did not realize that there was no kitchen timer. My goof. In April 2010, the zero button wouldn't work. So, instead of cooking for 2 mintues, I would use 1Min 59 secs. Within two weeks, the 7 button, the two button and the light would not work. I contacted LG. Lucky for me, it was still within the warranty period. LG was extremely helpful (due to being covered by the warranty) and set up an appointment for a fix. The repair person showed up promptly at the appointed time. It seemed that he ordered any part that could have been broken and brought it with him. It turns out that the keypad was shot. He replaced the door, and in about 20 minutes, it all done. On the positive side, the new door contained a kitchen timer, on the negative side, the unit should not have required repair using it about five times/week to cook vegetables. As another reviewer mentioned, the door appears to be flimsy. On another note: We have a Kenmore Refrigerator, made by LG. It required a new computer board, a new fan for the refrigerator part and a new light fixture, after two years of use. LG does not appear to make very sound products.

Well really it stands for Lucky Goldstar and their products are still the same junk that they first started with. Well that's what the Warranty Repair Guy said. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING LG!!!! As per the people that have to fix them.

I love this microwave. It cooks fast and more even than others I have owned. I really love the warming lamp. Keeps food warm till everyone is ready to eat. The only problem I can find is that it has no timer. I miss that. I would buy again.

Pros:
Cooks well. Great features for sensor cooking. Like the buttons on bottom. Rotating & articulating cooking try results in more even cooking -i.e. less hot/cold spots.

Cons:
It is very noisy.

2 out of 5 stars Venting is noisy and useless   December 29, 2008

I purchase this oven to replace a Sharp countertop model I've had for years. The only reason I replaced it was because I remodeled my kitchen and I wanted to free up as much counter space as I could so I went to this LG over-the-range microwave and I'm sorry that I did. This LG can't hold a candle to my old Sharp. Using the re-circulating vent sounds like a frieght train and hardly removes any smoke at all. The door is flimsy and there is no way that you can close the door without slamming it shut and making a loud bang. It does cook ok but so does a $50.00 oven that you could buy at Walmart. For the price of this oven, I should be satisfied but not so. I'm very dissapointed and hope you don't make the same mistake that I did.
